I took advantage of the nice weather last weekend to do some hiking in the Bay Area, which also gave me a chance to see how the rains we’ve gotten this year have affected some of our local waterfalls. I figured I should get this posted before we get into February, so here are my 10 favorite photos from 2015. I pick my favorite (not necessarily best) photographs based on several factors, the most important of which is “do I like it?”. I also account for the feedback I’ve gotten over the year along with how much I enjoyed actually going out to get the shot. I’d appreciate hearing your thoughts in the comments below!

During the break between Christmas and New Year’s this year I made a quick trip to Moab, Utah. Since I had never been there before, my main goals were to see the area and scout a little bit. There are a lot of iconic scenes in Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, with Dead Horse Point State Park wedged in between them. Since I was only there for about 24 hours, I didn’t have time to really explore so I picked a couple of locations that I most wanted to see. I visited Delicate Arch for sunset and decided to visit Mesa Arch for sunrise on New Year’s Eve.
Although I have sold all of the calendars I’ve printed for this year, you can still get them! $5 from each purchase is donated to Shepherd’s Gate to provide assistance and shelter to women and children in need. Follow this link and place your order: Calendar Purchase
